| Here is a new one! (I think) Zayne sleeps with his eyes half opened. I thought maybe it was because he was nervous being in a new place at first. But i have had him for 2 1/2 weeks now, and he still does it. It is kinda scary........ Does any of your babies sleep like that? Also he will now walk on a leash for anything.... Does anyone have any suggestions to get him to walk on a leash? I just want to be safe when I take him outside. As soon as I put the leash on him, he starts to freak out and cry really loud and then he starts flipping on the ground, and this is even before I have a chance to take him outside. Please help me.

| Welcome to YT!!!! And yes, your baby Zayne WILL walk on a leash, he just doesn't know it yet. Try putting his harness on him and attaching the leash and let him drag it around the house (under constant supervision) so he gets the feel of it. Then, let him drag it around the house with you attached to the other end. When he is comfortable with that, try enticing him to come to you with toys, treats, etc. and as he is coming TOWARDS you, back away a step or two, then three then..... You get the idea. HOPE THIS HELPS! |

| You will find that your baby does better on a leash if you start with just the harness in the house. Treat and praise when he does not fight. Take the harness off and on several times a day til he accepts it without fuss. Always give mucho praise and NOT always treats. You might just try pieces of his reg. dog food as the treat. It will seem different cause you are feeding it to him from your hand. He will come around if you are persistent and consistent.. Good Luck.... |
