| Buttonnosepups.com Does anyone have any experience with them? I really want to get a dog from hautelooksyorkshires.com but Steve really likes the looks of one of their puppies at buttonnose. Can someone help me articulate to him why I am right? Lol thanks. |

| To me it is no comparison. I mean just looking at the websites alone, I would go with Haute.

| I would choose Hautelooks too. YTCA member breeding champions. Just looking quickly, I would trust that breeder more.

| Hi, Haute has better looking pups IMHO. However, that's not necessarily determinative because even great breeders can have less than perfect/less than best looking pups. I think you'll pay a bit more for a Haute puppy. And you may not mind the extra $$$ - but that may be a factor in your decision. I would generally stick with a breeder of only yorkies. And I personally am concerned about different colored yorkies because the "colors" are actually faults in the breed. Yet, that doesn't mean that Buttonose wouldn't have a healthy/happy pup for you. What is your plan for the pup? To show or as a companion? There are a number of factors to consider when selecting a puppy. Your best bet is to actually speak with the breeders and ask a lot of questions. Pick their brains. If possible, you should visit the breeder's home/breeding program. Good luck in whatever decision you make. |

| We only have pets as family members/companions. Lukas, our current yorkie, is chocolate colored with floppy ears and I couldn't possibly love him anymore. However, when you know better, you do better. I don't want to contribute to the rampant overbreeding and watering down of breed standards. Steve was adamant that we get another chocolate yorkie but I won that argument. I want to convince him I am right and not have to force the situation by putting my foot down, so to speak. I refuse to pay over 3,000 dollars for a non-standard akc yorkie ever again |

| You shouldn't have to pay near that amount for a very very good yorkshire terrier. Actually, most of the extremely high priced yorkies that I've seen are poorly bred & unhealthy. It is not cheap to breed really good pups though. Most reputable breeders fairly & competitively price their "pet" stock. There are tons of great breeders out there. Why limit yourself to 2? Unless there's a particular puppy that you've seen and that you want, then you can expand your horizons. You want to "buy your breeder", of course. But you also want the pup that makes your heart skip a beat every time you look at it! I've seen lots of litters out there now. There will be a lot of fall litters too. Take your time and you'll be so happy with your new bundle! |

| I do not care for the fact that she is advertising dogs with faults as "rare". And the pups are over $1200?!

| Buttonnosepups is not a reputable breeder. First off they advertise that you can breed your dog and a reputable breeder does not do that because a reputable breeder works very hard for there lines and doesn't want just any one breeding them. Also they talk about having and breeding Rare Gold and Chocolate yorkies well its considered a fault first of all and second no reputable breeder breeds a yorkie with a color fault because they are trying to better the breed so they will only breed yorkies that follow the standard. Also by using the word rare shows they are doing it simply to make money on it. A reputable breeder will also not breed mixes.
