| Hat disappointment Got Coco's beautiful little red hat today in the mail. It is truly beautiful and the quality of work is awesome. Buuuuut, that's where it stopped. I opened it up in the mail and was so disappointed in the size. The hat will do her no good to shield her eyes from the sun. The picture was a bit deceiving. It pulled her eyes back in a stretch. I really wanted to just cry. The hat is such a pretty hat and I couldn't hardly wait for it to come in and now this. I paid $40 plus shipping and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I gave the woman the measurements she required and we were back and forth messaging each other so that it would be correct. Just so disappointed that it's all for nothing. I did send an email to the woman I bought it from (through Etsy) to let her know of my disappointment. I wasn't hateful or ugly but I needed her to know that it wasn't as I expected. I think it must be more of a showy hat. Her clothing that she makes is very expensive and classy so maybe this hat wasn't supposed to be for actual use. I just needed to vent and I guess get some sympathy. Sorry. Last edited by admin; 08-11-2013 at 08:06 AM. Reason: Removed offensive comment |

| Well, the lady that made the hat for Coco is going to remake it for her. I couldn't believe it when I just got the email. She wants it to work for her for it's intended use. She told me that most people want the small brim so it was never discussed and there was no mention of the width in the description because that's how most people want it. Like I figured...it's more for show than an actual use. So, now I have tears of joy. I don't dress Coco but I have been so excited to buy proper things for her that she really needs so I just want you all to know that we're not spoiled snobs and I'm still learning this "new mommie to yorkie" thing so I guess that's why the tears. IDK, maybe I'm a bit hormonal |

You are toooo funny No, no one said or has accused me of being a snob but I just wanted everyone to know that I'm not in the habit of spending that kind of money on a hat but this one was so pretty that I just couldn't resist it. | |

| I don't really think she was trying to insult anyone.

| About the hat..... I just wonder if there is a way to keep the hat from tipping down on her face. I mean...dogs don't have a forehead like humans do so a hat like that with a brim could very well just tip down onto the nose and she wouldn't be able to see where she was going anyway. Just thought I would mention it before anymore expense went into the project. They do make some nice sunglasses for dogs if the sun is an issue for her. |

| Perhaps it wasn't intentional but I found it to be very offensive.

| You can't make comments like that in public. This is a public forum & there's all kinds of people from different parts of the world. I also took offense to it.

| Reprimand Ok, just to let everyone know that has verbally bashed me for my comment, I was reprimanded by the administrator. It was not intended at all to be racial. I wasn't thinking when I said that and I meant no offense to anyone of any race. I am sorry for the offense, it wont happen again. I'm really surprised that I got pounced on that hard when I truly meant no harm. I was upset when I got the hat and was all but in tears. Again, I am sooo very sorry. |
