| Do you ever feel guilty?? This is a question for people with more than one dog... Do you ever find yourself feeling guilty that you are paying attention to one dog and not the other?!? Like if one dog is sitting on your lap and the other can't...or you are bathing or grooming the one dog...or you only take one dog on a walk or in the car with you and the other has to stay home?? Princeton, my older dog, is totally a mamma's boy and he loves being with me and I love being with him...but he's been sick, he hates the car and he's scared to death of other people...so he doesn't make a good traveling companion. So lately, I've been taking Ricky out with me and Princeton stays at home with dad. Every time I leave with Ricky though, I feel horrible about it. I feel like I am cheating on Princeton or something...but I know that he would be miserable going with me...and his nerves would upset his tummy and he'd have the runs the day after he went out on the town. Does anyone else feel the same way when you are giving attention to one dog and not the other. Princeton is my first Yorkie love and he means the world to me. I don't want him to feel like I replaced him with Ricky. Maybe I am just humanizing the dogs feelings too much...IDK...but he definitely misses us when we are gone. |

| I think as long as you do something special with each one they won't get jealous. I probably spend more time with Joel just with the bathing and grooming stuff but I know Rosco doesn't mind, he's older and only cares about walks and people food and then he's happy for life hehe When I'm fussing over Joel I can tell Rosco is thinking "I'm so glad I'm not a small dog" lol |

| No, I share the love! Some need more attention, but they each have their special moments with me.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My 3 each have their special way they like to spend with me. So they are all getting enough attention.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | No, I don't. I have 3 different breeds aged 11 years old, 5 years old and 7 mos old plus a 2 year old cat. They each require different types of attention and time. I have learnt who needs what and when. Plus we all have our pack and pride time relaxing as one unit in the evenings. It all works out.

| I feel guilty when I spend time with one & not the other. And I can totally relate to feeling like you're "cheating" on them. Our morning walk is as a pack, all three. But our evening walk is one at a time. It takes me an hour, but I feel like they need their own alone time everyday. Plus, it's our own separate bonding time. That one hour is the worst hour of my day. I feel so bad for leaving the others behind. We rotate trips to the store, or anytime I can take them in the car. But I still feel bad for the other two I leave behind. I had two Yorkies for a while & one of the reasons I got a third was so that one wouldn't have to be alone when I took the other out. But I still feel bad.

| Yes and no... I feel bad when I take one and not the other, but I try and do something equally private with the one left behind. We don't take Mack out very often as his immune system is so low, so we have extra special play time and that makes it all better!

| For the most part my 4 get pretty much equal attention, and being close in age have similar energy and needs. I recently had to take Meika to the vet for dental cleaning and we were gone the whole day. When we got home the others sure sniffed her and wanted to know where she went, and I'm sure they were worried. I do feel bad sometimes if I'm loading bags in the car, they assume they are going with me to my daughters which we do often. Looking at those little 8 eyes watching me as I leave is rather sad, but they are happy when I return.
