| Books for first time dog owner ? Hello, I'm gonna be first time dog owner and I'm trying to learn as much as I can before we get our Yorkie. My wife always had dogs in her household, so she'll probably be more of a guide than me, but I'd love to learn as much as I can. I did a quick search on forum and I found recommendations for Yorkies For Dummies, which is perfect, because that's how I would feel if I would have puppy in my house right now However we still have time till next year, so if you could recommend few books I would appreciate it. Thank you |

| I have found my local library to be very helpful. Another good one is "The Complete Idiots Guide to Yorkshire Terriers" by Liz Palika.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and Welcome to YT. "Yorkies For Dummies" is the first one I recommend."Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide" is the second book. These are excellent resource books .Another book "How to Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days" Is very helpful. They are not as easy to housebreak. Good luck

| Thank you all, I'll try to get these and read them. I'm not a fan of books, but I'm guessing it's good for both the owner and a dog to read at least a few. |

| I got these books on my Amazon shopping cart, I think these should keep me occupied for a while. It's actually funny, because usually I'm the spender, and wife always tell me to moderate my spending. But when it comes to Yorkie, I can get all the stuff and she won't mind at all, Yorkie has better privileges than me Yorkshire Terriers - Wendy Bedwell-Wilson How to Raise the Perfect Dog: Through Puppyhood... - Cesar Millan Complete Idiot's Guide To Yorkshire Terriers 2e,... - Liz Palika How to Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days (Revised) - Shirlee Kalstone Yorkshire Terrier - Dog Fancy Magazine Yorkshire Terriers For Dummies - Tracy Barr |
