| Need to vent!!! My niece works as a nurse's aid at a facility that's like senior daycare.. One of the lady she takes care of told her she's looking to rehome her puggle puppy who's only 7 months because she can't take care of him. Apparently, she loves dogs so her son got her the puppy... I don't understand WHY her son would go out and get her a puppy to a person that has a hard time taking care of herself. If anything, wouldn't a older dog make more sense?! My niece told me about this past monday to see if I'd know anyone. I told her I'll ask around. Tuesday, she tells me if no one wants him, the son's going to take the puppy to the shelter. So I reached out to everyone I know who has dogs or have had dogs and I told my niece to ask the guy not to be so quick on taking him to the shelter. At least give me a week to see if anyone might be interested. I've even found a site where people were looking to adopt puggles and offered to contact some of those people! Tonight, I get a email from the doggie daycare I take Magnus/Zoey to saying someone's REALLY interested in taking the puppy. So I call my niece right away all excited to make sure he haven't been taken yet. Guess what? The guy took the puppy to the county shelter this morning!!!!!!!! Seriously?! You couldn't wake ONE freak'n week?! It just pisses me off to no end seeing how some people are so quick to get a pet and then when it's not working out, they can't get rid of them quick enough. I know this is a yorkie site and my rant isn't about a yorkie or anything... just makes me so angry that I think I'll be losing sleep over this and thought I'd feel better if I ranted... I'm PRAYING the lady that's interested will still be interested... She has 2 puggles already and I guess she's looking to add a 3rd... Sorry for the long rant...... |

| I dont get it. Why are people in such a hurry to get a puppy and then when it isnt working out like they thought or just didnt think in the first place, they toss the little thing aside. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'm with you!! This is a family member..or was supposed to be...that he basically threw away? Surely he knew the state of his mother's health? That poor baby must be so scared. Hopefully, he/she will end up in a furever home with lots of love and kindness.

| ugh! I feel the same way. My older sister (god knows I love her) is this way with her cats. She's gotten rid of several because they annoyed her for some reason and then she gets another. It drives me CRAZY.

I think I'm more invested in him because I've seen his picture... Just imagining his sweet face in a kennel makes me so sad. Please pray for him. | |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | It is so hard to see people "throw away" a puppy cause it does not work out. Some peoplejust think they are dog, property. Not like us who we know better. They are family !

| Just wanted to give you guys an update. With all the inconsistent info I was getting with this guy, I decided to call the shelter to find out what was happening and whether it was a no kill shelter. If it wasn't, I was going to start adoption papers... Long story short, it IS a no kill shelter. The lady I spoke with was VERY nice and basically said puppies get adopted quickly. She also added that puggles are quite popular so he'll most likely find a home very very soon. But as a back up plan, I've relayed the shelter info to the person that was originally interested. I haven't heard back from her yet and I offered to pay for the adoption/neutering fee if by chance that was holding her up. I have a good feeling I won't have to do that... and so, to celebrate I will be donating the $200 for the adoption fee to the animal shelter. I was so upset that I slept maybe 2 hrs last night. Getting a positive response like this is such a big relief. Now I'm feeling extremely sleepy. LOL |

| Terrible thing for that poor dog but hopefully his new home will be a happier one for a young dog that needs a lot of exercise and play he probably couldn't get with that older lady in the care home. Puggles do seem to be very, very popular and I'll bet that baby will find a home soon and hope it's one he'll enjoy. You did a wonderful thing to donate and hopefully we'll one day here that you've found out that this baby has gone to a wonderful home where he can have a richer lifestyle and more fun in life. Thank you for caring!!!!!!!! It says so much about you. Now go get some rest. ((((Hugs))))
