| The date is set... It's been almost 3 months since Nena was in heat. I called the vet to set an appointment for her spay. It's on the 6th of august. Even though I went through it once already with Rufus, I'm still nervous. She's my little girl (half rufus' size) and my oldest. Will keep everyone up-to-date.

| She'll be fine and you ARE doing the best thing for her ((((((HUGS)))))) It won't stop you feeling a nervous wreck until you get that phone call to say she's fit and well and ready to take home though, will it |

My babygirl is home. Everything went ok. The vet cleaned her teeth as well. I got pain relievers and antibiotics for her. I have Rufus in another room because Nena needs to rest

| So glad her spay went well. Keep her quiet until the vet says she can do more. (after a week, she'll try to trick you into playing, but her inside still needs to heal, so do your best not to give into her playful self) Make sure she eats and drinks too. The pain meds will make her sleep a lot and she might miss her usual meal time.

| Thank you for the tip Since we got home she has been sleeping. She hasn't drink anything and the vet told me to wait till the night to give her something to eat. What can I do to 'make' her drink?

Do as the vet says- make her meals smaller too so she doesn't get sick (smaller and offer meals often, like every few hours). The vet explained that her insides were moved around during the spay, so her digestive system will be a little upset. (tummy and intestines) They had me watching for peeing and pooping. If she has any trouble with these, call the vet. It sounds like she's doing fine. Sleeping will help her heal. I was so glad to have the spay over. That's the worst! All the worrying before, then feeling silly after for worrying! LOL! But they're our babies, and deserve to get the mommy worry from us, don't they?

| They are truly our babies and we do worry. I will check her pee and poo. She hasn't peed yet so I'll keep an eye on her. Can't wait for this to be over and for Nena to be her self again. It's so sad to see her just laying and sleeping But it's for her well being.
