Yorkie Yakker | A new yorkie to the family I just added a new yorkie to the family and they have been locked in combat the 1st 2 days . It seems to be slowing down today. Any suggestions to ensure they get along the best they can?

| What are the ages of the two dogs? I would let them sort things out between themselves. Intervene only when it looks dangerous. You can use verbal corrections more often, but use an even, authoritative voice. Don't do it angrily. Make sure the first dog has a place to escape the second one and relax, especially if the second one is younger and more prone to puppy antics. Try to set a schedule of activities: sleep time, meal times, play time that involves you, and training. When we added a second dog, having a routine and directing their attention to positive activities like training brought them together and calmed down the younger one. Training was very simple: performing sits, handshakes, down, etc for a single kibble.

Yorkie Yakker | Goliath and now Goliath and Gizmo Goliath is my biewer yorkie he is 15 months old and 4.6 lbs. The new guy Gizmo is traditional colors and he is 13 months old and 6.5 lbs. So the prince of the house was Goliath a very calm and very quiet little guy. Now Gizmo has invaded his space and they have been locked in competition. Gizmo is bigger and very active so poor little Goliath is defending his peace. However today it's like a switch was thrown and they been very quiet together. But what one does the other is right there!!

| They're darling together! Now that you have 2 you'll wonder how you ever kept just one happy. How did it come to be that you got a 13 month old with undocked tail? (I love the long tail, BTW)

Yorkie Yakker | Patience !! Yes it has been sticky. They do get in fights but every day it gets less and less. They do everything together! They help each other with their individual strengths.
