| Am I being sensitive? So I've lived with numerous dogs throughout my life, but Billi is my first dog of my own since I was a kid, so I'm experiencing a lot of firsts as her mama. I don't think I've noticed it with my family/friends dogs before, so am I being sensitive or is this normal? Billi is about 4 1/2 months now, and I've noticed she gets kinda pissy with me. She's not really super affectionate, she only really cuddles in the mornings, but she's a total "mama's girl" and always playful. Then there's been a few times where she gets annoyed with me. Doesn't want to play, doesn't want me touching her. She will look at me, cock her head to the side and pout and then run away from me. Literally, she will go "HUMPH!" and run in the opposite direction. She's still fairly affectionate with my boyfriend and his daughter and still acts like my shadow to an extent, but the only time, if ever, she's interested in me, it's if I'm in the kitchen or near her treat jar... Sometime's it only lasts a day or two. Is this like puppy pms? Do all dogs get like this, or just females? Am I spoiling her too much (is there such a thing?! )

| I think if she has not been spayed, it could be her hormones. My female acts a bit more like you are describing than my male, so it could just be a female thing. Not sure and hoping someone else may have some better input on this matter.

| I wish I knew. Every dog is different and has their own quirks. My Papillon just came out of her first heat, she gets her freedom in two days because I was stupid and forgot to write down when she started spotting, all I could remember was she was spotting on June 17th. This whole time she has NOT been her typical cuddly affectionate self. Could be she's mad at me for putting her in puppy jail, who knows. Sabre has never been very outwardly affectionate. The best you get from him is when you come home, he'll put his feet up on you and stretch like a cat to say hi, and then go on about his way. Pixie has always been the cuddle bug, even when in heat.

| Mina is 2yrs,spayed and lil miss emotional, drama queen. She will let you know when she is ready to be held. Whe she wishes to cuddle, she wants you to stop what you are doing and hold her, otherwise she is on her way to hang with the other pups. |

| I bet it's her hormones. My male is a total momma's boy and wants me all the time. My female is more on her terms when it comes to affection.
