| My Yorkie doesn't bark?? WHY?? Hello Everyone, I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if im posting right but.... OKay I know it sounds crazy to complain about my Yorkie NOT barking... but she is now 17weeks old and has still yet to bark, my vet says that she just hasn't had a reason to bark yet. I'm still kinda afraid something might be wrong with her.. anyone ever had this issue??? |

| Jaeger didnt bark until he was 5 months old...and then we had to train him NOT to bark, he barked so much. He still slips up sometimes and has to be reminded to use his indoor voice. I wouldnt worry about your pup not being vocal-it will probably happen eventually.

| Puppies don't usually don't bark until they mature enough to see their home territory as their own and take responsibility for it and that can take a few months with most of them. In time, she will become an excellent watchdog. These little terriers love to watch out for their property and people!

| Mine was right around 8 or 9 months before she barked. I was worried then too, but she barks at EVERYTHING that enters her yard now!
