| Can dogs have biotin vitamins? And product opinions! A few months ago I had a horrible haircut and took biotin to help it grow faster and thicker. In a months time my hair had honestly grow an inch and a half. Is biotin safe for dogs? Its essentially vitamin B, so is it safe? Also has anyone used Viva La Spa's French Moroccan oil treatment with argon oil leave in conditioner? I was at Petco today and was given a full size for free! I only has to promise that I would rebuy if I liked it. I probably don't say thanks enough to you guys, but I appreciate everyone's help/opinion. This community of Yorkie Lovers really welcomed Priscilla and I, even thought she is half Yorkie lol. Priscilla was called a mut by a member at Maltesetalk, so I no longer visit that site |

hello. well Drs. Foster & Smith sells Biotin Supplements for Dogs so apparently it is safe but I would reccommend asking your VET before giving to your dog.. .. Dog Nutritional Supplements: Biotin Tablets Skin & Coat Supplement for Dogs As far as the Viva La Spa dog products go , I had never heard of them before but I checked out Petco and they look pretty good.. | |

| My daughter and a friend of mine give their dogs Biotin for itching. When my daughter wanted to use it on her dog we researched it and talked to our vet about it. There are not really any known side effects but I agree that you should always talk to you vet before giving your dog any supplements. Just as a precaution. The itching slowed down with my daughter's dog and she likes giving Biotin instead of Benadryl or other itch relief medicine. My friend's Russian Wolfhound coat texture also improved tremendously. I would recommend it if you thought your dog would benefit. Good luck. |
