| Been digging at himself for a week not and I'm starting to notice bald patches Riley has been scratching and biting at his legs mostly but also his where ever he can bite at. I checked him over for fleas and he doesn't have any. He has not had any changes in his diet either. He had been scratching before he recent groomers trip and I asked them to use an oatmeal hypoallergenic products on him bc his skin seems dry and he's been scratching. Today I noticed 3 small bald patches on him, they're on his side/hip area. About a pea sized. So far today he has also been lethargic and didn't eat his food this morning either. What could this be? Should I call the vet? He eats Wellness One grain free. If that's needed information. He's also taking cosequin for his patellar luxation. However this scratching began before e started taking the joint medicine. |

| It could be an allergy of some sort (grass, mold, anything this time of year). It could also be a hot spot - which leads to raw, open wounds and will need relief from the pain (they are super painful) and will need anitbiotics. Please contact your vet. If your baby is doing this, he is obviously in some major discomfort or pain. Self mutilation like this (and trust me - I know..my boy just went thru it) means they are hurting/suffering. Again, contact your vet, please. I will pray he feels better soon!!

| I certainly agree with Terri! Your pup probably has some kind of infection and needs meds to get over it. Don't wait any longer, go directly to your vet, do not pass go and do not collect... Please let us know what you find out from your vet?? Blessings!

| I would get him to the vet - he's likely miserable. You and the vet need to go over all that he's taking in through medication, food, etc., and weed out what could be causing this. In the meantime, the vet can give him medicine to help the itching symptoms. Itching can be as stressful as bad pain.

| I did get him to eat and he seemed to perk up a little bit. Still not seeming like his old self. I called vet and had to leave a message bc they didn't answer. Waiting to hear back from them |
