| Blonde yorkie Hi, I have a blonde yorkie. I wanted to meet other yorkie lovers. I live in central Texas and I would like to ask why AKC does not recognize the color yorkies for show and if a registry out there does? Ivy |

| Welcome to YT! I can't answer your question, but there's a ton of people on here who can. Look through the breeder section or the section about showing yorkies. There might be some info about color yorkies there. Post a picture of your pup when you can. I'd love to see her. Him.

| Hi and welcome to YT! I also can't answer your question but I think my Princess Sophie may become a blond yorkie. I have to wait till she's done changing colors though to be sure. Hope you enjoy your time with us and we are glad you decided to join! Again, welcome and please...pictures....please!!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | What do you consider a Blonde Yorkie. I've never seen a pup as a blonde only one that with age has lost their color and became mostly cream color. Do you have any pictures to share?

| Because it is considered a fault. AKC is the only reputable registry in the US so not sure why you would want to find another registry.

| I'm sorry you lost her. Are they also called Golden Yorkies? I've seen those referred to before, along with chocolate yorkies.

| I've always called my Dolly blond but she was born dark. Is she still a "blond yorkie"? I get so many compliments on her shiny floor length hair. I think it's beautiful.

| She is not inferior. Just like partis arent inferior. I have traditionals, partis, and goldens, and find no difference whatsoever in the dogs. As a matter of fact a couple of my partis are much more subdued and relaxed than some traditionals I have had. The goldens and partis can be cotton coated too, just like traditionals.

YT 1000 Club Member | Let me see if I can clear this up a little. This was told to me by an AKC rep at a show. AKC does not prevent the non standard colored yorkies from being shown in the ring neither does the YTCA. It is a diqualification and it is up to the judge to decide. But if a non standard Yorkie was to be shown and disqualified or any Yorkie for that matter 3 times then it would not be eligible to be shown.
