| Cleaning what?!?! Thats right, how do I go about cleaning her TOYS. They are new and store bought but I'd still feel better if I washed them or something. Does anyone else wash their stuffed toys? |

YT 1000 Club Member | Washing our guys Toys depends on how dense they are. If they are stuffed, it's very hard to get them dried out, where mold/mildew won't get a start. Plus, it's hard to get all the soap out of Toys like that, and bleaching them is simply out of the question. You really don't have to worry too much about Germs on them. Our guys are very capable of handling things like that, MUCH better than we are. I have Toys that are close to six years old, are still going strong. and played with regularly. If it really bothers you, just toss them and buy new. BUT, your guys won't like that

| I wash all of my toys once a week. Sometimes I see them on a piddle pad & I get creeped out about them playing with things that might smell like pee. I remove any squeakies & throw them in the washer on gentle cycle. I also give their rubber toys a bath in the kitchen sink once a week. It's amazing how much crud gets stuck in the little crevices of those things! I've been wondering if they'd do okay in the dishwasher. I might throw one of them in next time I run a load to see how it survives a dishwasher cycle. Btw, I'm like you & feel better about washing anything before I use it. I used to work at Bloomgdale's, so I know what happens to those clothes before you buy them. I imagine that toys go through the same thing. Personally, I wouldn't put new clothes next to my skin...or want my puppies to put toys in their mouths before I'm sure they're clean.

| Most rubber toys do fine in the dishwasher top rack. The Skinnies and tennis balls go in the washing machine with towels. I haven't tried washing the stuffed ones yet because he's only got a couple. I figure I'll just toss them if they get too icky and buy new ones.

| I do all their toys in mesh bags with their crate pads and blankets. Pee-pads are only done with pee-pads, I use pre soak and double rinse cycle for them.

| All the stuffed toys go into a front loader with All Free, but in a mesh bag if using a top loader. The rest go into the sink with some white vinegar to soak a bit then with a bristle brush, tooth brush, or a sponge that has a scouring side, rub them a little to get any stain or dirt off, then rinse. Be sure to take squeakers out of the rubber toys and discard.

| I have always machine washed all our pets toys. Plastic, stuffed, etc. I put them into the washer on a regular cycle with a double rinse and they they go in the dryer. Can't do this at nighttime though...to noisy. LOL Good luck!!
