| Leaving my baby for the first time! I know most people leave their fur babies at some time. But I haven't left mine since we got her in October. She was 8 months old when we got her and was left at home alone a lot. I'm thankful she will be staying with my mom. She stayed with her before my brother gave her to me but I'm so worried it will confuse her. We will leave Friday morning and be back Sunday morning. She really doesn't need anything to stay with my mom but I'm thinking of sending her a pillow off our bed or a blanket. She will also have to sleep in a kennel too! I know I'm suppose to be enjoying this weekend but I'm worried about my baby! I don't want her to think we left her! What can I do for her?

| I'd just suggest leaving something for her that smells like you. Try to enjoy your weekend, if your mom is someone you trust there should be no worries! She'll do fine

| I wouldn't trust anyone but my mom to keep her! She is such a huge part of our family! It will kill me if she doesn't eat or something while we are gone!

| Well, being that she stayed with your mom before you got her, she'll probably adjust pretty quickly. Does she see your mom a lot? Sasha and I are over at my moms almost everyday, so her house is like a second home to Sasha haha.

| Its hard I know I couldn't do it. Make sure if she is not used to a kennel that you try and get her used to it. I would also make sure to take her dog bed, favorite treats, dog food, a couple favorite toys, something that smells like you, a list of vet numbers and if your mom doesn't have dogs a list of things that are toxic to dogs.

| We visit my mom every week more if work allows and mom has everything too! She has a Chihuahua so Kiki will probably sleep with him! Mom is a sucker she says she isn't sleeping with her but if my baby is unhappy she will make sure she does everything she can to ensure her safety and happiness! I still hate to leave her!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I recently left my 3 to go on a 4 day vacation. My sister drove up from Tenn to stay with them and they did fine. I was so worried but they were fine. They ate and played with her. Since she is use to your Mom she will probably be fine and have a playmate for the weekend. Try and enjoy your trip.
