| Getting a cat as well Hi all, I'm back again. Molly my beautiful rescue Yorkie has lived with us for almost a year now and it seems like she has been part of the family forever. However, my daughter, who is an adult by the way wants a cat!!! I don't think a kitten would be a good idea but I am considering an adult rescue cat. As far as I know Molly was the only pet when she was rescued but I'm not sure. On the few occasions she has been to my brothers house she didn't seem to mind their two cats, in fact she snugged up with one of them later on in the day. I think she was more bothered that his male yorkie, Ashley, kept trying to mate her (will males never learn?) and in the end she bit his bum (serves him right) and he left her alone. My problem is I don't want Molly to think she's being pushed out as she is very spoilt, sleeps on the bed, sofa etc and I don't want her to harm a rescue cat that has probably had a rough time. All help and suggestions please would be really appreicated. Thanks |

| Actually if you want them to cohabitate and get along fine a kitten is a good idea. I have 2 yorkies and 5 cats that were all kittens while my yorkies were adults, they kinda mothered the kittens

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have 4 cats when I got Galen and still do. Two are 12.5 which are not big fans he wants to chase them. one is a year. Sabe runs away but stays on the floor so he is not to afraid of Galen. But he is also I think at least 13.5 lbs. lol and I have Willow she is 9 months old. She is not after aid of him at all. When we first go Galen she would lay next to him as he played on the couch. Now she lays on the floor when he runs around. But when he is a nuisance she jumps up on the couch. You do not have to get a six week old kitty but I would suggest a young cat.
