| YT Tinies Club Hi out there. I know there are many babies that want to be in the YT Teapot Club but I was wondering if there are any adult yorkies that would like to join the YT Tinies Club. (3 pounds and under). My baby was supposed to be larger but I don't even think she will make 3 pounds. Any other mommies with babies that are tiny??? They are precious and adorable and I love her to pieces but definitely require a lot of attention and care and you have to be careful where you walk!!!! (LOL) |

| They definitely seem like a TON of work, I would be so scared to have a tiny!! Luma is a little less than 7lb. LOL. Rosie is teeny (to me) 2.3 lbs @ 19 weeks old. I'm not 100% sure a "Tinies Club" would be promoting a positive image about the Yorkshire Terrier though, its bad enough with all the breeders breeding them on purpose...selling them as teacups and charging them 3x and 4x what a reputable show breeder would charge! Ridiculous And it will keep happening because people perpetuate how cool it is to own a small dog. They are cute, yes, but it takes a very special person to provide the kind of care those wee little ones require!! Phew! I could not do it, that's for sure. How about calling it "Tinies against Teacups"??

| Aw, wait. So there is a club for the teapots and a club for Tinies, what about the rest of us? Mine are 4-6lbs, where's that leave us, the ordinary yorkie club, just doesn't have a ring to it.

| Actually she was the smallest baby in the litter. Her brothers are charting 5 pounds! I agree that people are asking ridiculous prices for the tiny babies which encourages the greeders. They should charge less as the tinies require a lot of care! Thank goodness she is a happy healthy puppy, just on the small side. |

| My babies haven't finished growing but should reach at least 4 to 5 lbs as adults, so I won't fall into either club. BUT I'm thinking a place to go and discuss the specific health problems, injury risk, and special care that goes along with owning a Tiny might be very educational. At the very least it could be a reality check for anyone thinking of owning a Yorkie under 3lbs. I am saddened by the breeding ethics of those advertising the micro, mini, teacup Yorkies, but unless the public is educated on this marketing gimmic, they will continue to be in demand (this is not to group those puppies born tiny in a litter of AKC standard bred Yorkies with those that purposely breed two tiny yorkies to whelp tiny babies to make a whopping profit). My daughter bought a "teapot" Yorkie after understanding the challenges of owning a small Yorkie because it fit safely into their active lifestyle with 3 kids and their careers.

YT 2000 Club Member | I have little girl that is about 4 lbs and one who is 22 weeks and barely 2 pounds. Tatiana was listed as 4 pounds but I don't think she will get to that. My girls are pretty healthy.......Tatiana does have an open fontanel but she is doing great and has no problems with it! I love my girls and always have had smaller yorkies that are around 4 lbs. Yes, they are more work and more care has to be taken to protect them from injury. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Max used to be a sturdy 4 pounds, but he is a chunky monkey with some extra weight the he needs to lose. Any size of yorkie takes a lot of grooming time and require a lot of attention! I am blessed and thankful for the yorkies that joined our family and would never trade them for anything! I wish people weren't so down on tiny yorkies as they are no different than the standard or teapots. Yes, it is too bad that some breeders, breed to get the tinys and then charge a higher price for them. I don't agree with this practice. Sometimes the tiny's get a bad rap for just being little! I know that this is just my opinion and I respect others opinion of the standard and bigger yorkies. I am a person who loves all yorkes in all sizes! God Bless you, all for loving a yorkie not matter the size!

| oh my.. a hot topic. I think a group for special care needed would be great... but not to promote how small they are. It is difficult, there is something in our "genes" that makes our hearts melt over the little ones. I just worry about the wrong person using a "tiny" club to promote breeding for tiny etc. BTW... Remy charted to be under 4 lbs. I really did not know what I was doing when I got her.. so I didn't start looking up size till after I had her and it didn't really matter. Anyway... she is a healthy 5 1/4 lbs now..charts don't always tell everything. Remy did not gain weight until after she turned 1. Your baby may still be a bit bigger then you are charting now..maybe???

| My girl could join a tiny club! She weighs between 2.4 and 2.5 lbs, depending on the time of day. She's 2 weeks from her 1st birthday too! She was the runt of her litter, I think, though she didn't look that small to me when I saw her and her sister together. She was supposed to be about 4 lbs, I was told, but she just didn't listen! She decided she was going to be tiny and make me work at keeping her healthy and safe! I would love to join, but, at the same time I don't want to see us promote tiny yorkies for all the reasons given so far. They are a ton of work, not just during the puppy stages, but after the early puppy time- for me so far it's been that way. A club to help with out with our high maintainance tinies where we could ask questions would be a nice go to place for our special furkids. I usually ask or search the forums for my answers. It would also be nice to know who the others are that are facing some of the common problems these tiny babies usually have so I can just pm them a question. If we make a club, I'd like to join!

| Thanks! They must be related!!! HaHa! Let me know if we do get a tiny club. I'll join. If not, I plan on friending the tiny owners who post so I know who has the same issues with their pups. Really, I'll friend anyone who asks- I just love yorkies and the people here!
