| First time away from home…I miss her! First time away from home…I miss her! I feel like I’m parting with a real baby. We are going to the snow (Lake Tahoe) for Christmas and I’ve left Lola with some friends. BUT…they are driving 1.5 hours to their 2nd house and sooo... she is with new people AND she’s on a fairly long drive to get there…gave her a Kong w/frozen water so she can lick while in the car…she does get carsick. I packed her food—dry and Natural Balance roll, a dog bed, blanket, clothes, hair bows/barrettes, puppy pads, conditioner, brush, her new pig pillow, leash/ collar with tags and bell, Kong, pink ball, green rag bone. I feel like very sad on Christmas Eve because my baby isn’t with us on her First Christmas. I hope she doesn’t come back with an attitude…I hear that some do. Attached are some pictures of Lola right before she left. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | As long as your friends are good enough friends that they don't mind 20 cell phone calls a day then you should be A-0K - I just went thru this last summer and was gone for the 1st time for 6 days...I was sooooo guilt ridden but really when you get away and you know they're safe - you should be fine and so should she...Mine really REALLY missed me but once I was home - all wa forgiven - there was not one bit of a change in their personalities and hopefully this is normal and will be the same for you. She's a little Christmas Traveler isn't she - going on a trip...hanging out with friends - I bet she gets spoiled silly. |

| I left my dog for the first time when she was three years old (obviously, I don't travel much!) And, I went to Mexico and was gone for a whole week. I thought I was going to die. But, when I returned, I learned that she had had the time of her life and had a great time. Go figure!!! Plus when I got home - she was beside herself and thrilled to see me for about 10 minutes. After that, it was like I'd never been gone. Oh well..... Carol Jean |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh wow - I wish my girls did that - On my trip which was the first for both girls....they stayed with their noses glued to the front door not moving except to eat for FIVE days straight - Cheri walked around the house looking for me and crying - and Chanel would moan at night and my husband said it was the most pitiful thing he ever heard - They threw me a party for over 2 hours when I got home on the 6th day and NEVER let me out of their site now - lol - Ooooops.....I guess I'm not helping here am I ? |

| She's such a pretty girl in her sweater and bow. She'll be just fine. Of course, she'll miss you. The socialization will be very good for her anyway. She needs new experiences, too.

| You do such a great job of putting pictures on beside your name. Is there some way you can explain to how to do it!! Love how you have them jumping out of the box. |

| We were away on Christmas Eve too! We went away for Christmas Eve and all of Christmas Day but came back that night. We had a wonderful animal lover come and look after them and she took them to her house overnight and really pampered our two Yorkies BUT when we got home our male had terribly hurt and angry feelings and would have NOTHING to do with us for at least a day. We felt terrible and vowed that everyone would have to come to our house next year. The funny thing is they have stayed in a kennel for a weekend a couple of times over the past 3 years and even one week when we went on vacation but they never had any negative emotional reaction. Any comments? |
