| Jackson's First Dock Diving Experience So I met up with my friend Amber today and her friend who has an Australian Koolie (a breed I admire from afar!) and the dogs to do some lure coursing and dock diving. Cricket and Joey were ROCKING the lure course but wouldn't get in the pool . I didn't try Jackson out on the course because he didn't seem that interested in the lure. Now if a real rabbit had been on the end, he would have been! lol. But, I'm pretty happy with how he did for his first time on an actual dock. He looovess to jump in the side of my dads pool, but it's a lot different when he's so high up! So they had 2 pools - with the smaller one, I kinda gave him a kind shove (LOL) into it, and he went out and retrieved his toy right away. We did it about 4x, by the 3rd time he was practically jumping in by himself but I still nudged him a bit to encourage him (I only did this because I know Jackson, and he's comfortable in the water, so I knew once he realized it was just like at home in our pool, he'd be more 'into' it, but I wouldn't encourage this with a dog never exposed to water or a dock lol) Here's a short video of him swimming there: Then we went to the official dock diving pool, and I never got him to go off the actual dock but he definitely was happy to jump from the ramp! So it's a start. I'm proud of the little dude. I think dock diving could definitely be a sport I can get into! They have open pool on Thurs. nights at this place so I'm going to go a lot this summer for practice before entering him in anything! The Labs and Mals were definitely ruling the pool, but how cool would it be to have a dock diving yorkie? haha The dogs in a down stay But YAY for dock diving finally!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | He is too awesome! I bet he has so much fun doing all this stuff...plus, he's nice and exhausted from all the play and hard work. The video is great, and I love that pic of him squinting into the sun, little cute stud muffin.

| I am so happy for you that you found this place. Great job working the dock and retrieving, Jackson! He is a really strong swimmer. Love the pic of the doggies in the down/stay. Looks like you both had a blast.

| Jackson is so AWESOME! Makes me want to put in a backyard pool so the boys can join their Daddy and me. They LOVE the sprinkler, but have never been in water deep enough to actually swim in. |

| Looks like he uses his tail like a propeller. That pool looks so inviting that I'm afraid I'd be right there in it too. Great job with him and I know he's going to be a top-notch champion.
