| Bentley's tick control works. What about me? Bentley has and Only Natural Flea and Tick Tag, plus I use Frontline Plus. It works quite well. After the one and only flea I found on him before using both, I have found nothing on him. Wish I could say the same for me. Last night I found the second tick of the season on me. This one had even actually gotten a grip on me too. It really shocks me since we do not go in the woods. Just simply the well mowed grass area along side me apartment building. Does anyone have any suggestions for effective human tick protection? I have not had to deal with ticks since I was a young child and we used to play in fields and orchards. Back then we didn't worry about things like Lymes. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

| You need a tick tag too. I always associated ticks with the woods, but they are everywhere. We pick them up in the grass. I've talked to people who are big time campers and boating lovers about ticks, and I got the impression that all you can do is check your body each day for the little critters. Lyme is rare in Virginia, if that helps.

Lymes is always in the back of my mind. When I was about 10 back in NJ my mom actually had a case of Lyme's back before it was given a name. Classic bulls-eye rash and all. Fortunately the doctor even though he really didn't know what he was treating gave her antibiotics.

| Here's the link: Only Natural Pet EasyDefense Flea & Tick Tag for Dogs & Cats I'll be completely honest I don't know 100% how effective it is since I found my first flea on him before my order from a local merchant arrived. I didn't want to wait so I got a 3 pack of Frontline Plus. Got one more does to put on him and then I'm going to see how things go after it runs out. I'll know more middle of next month how effective it really is. Figure it can't hurt since there are no chemicals involved. It is supposed to last up to 3 years. The trainer we had been going to had recommended the tag. This is what the website says about how it works: How does EasyDefense Tag work? The EasyDefense Tag utilizes a proprietary bio-energetic process works with your pet's own inherent energy to send out frequencies that repel pests. The process operates with quantum mechanics refined frequencies, and is somewhat similar to the basic principles of homeopathy. (It does not use traditional energy forms like electrical, chemical, thermal, magnetic, or radioactive). This holistic energetic approach combines the knowledge of Eastern medicine with advanced Western technology, and is the result of more than 10 years of targeted research in collaboration with renowned doctors and scientists. This quantum energy approach has been used in Europe for many years to enhance human health and wellness through the energizing of objects, water, drinks, and supplements.

| I've been having issues with ticks as well and looked into Tick Tag. There were ppl that claimed it worked really well and ppl that said it did nothing. But at the end, there were no real scientific proof that it really does work. One comparison was to those bands that's supposed to help with "balance, flexibility, and strength". (One example: CPrime power balance band) Finally, I just decided to try out some "home remedy" for my pups and for ppl. My pups and my mom smells bit like vinegar but I haven't found ticks on either since I started using that homemade spray. I also use Advantix II but I was finding ticks on my boy EVERY freak'n day which is why I looked up extra protection. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Wow if that Tick Tag thing works we will all feel relief having to put awful stuff on our dogs. I am always looking for a natural way to get rid of pests. Just can't keep them in the house or motorhome all the time. Darn bugs, someday we will have the stuff that is not dangerous. |

| I have a natural remedy book and I've always wondered if these things work. For flea and tick protection they have a recipe: 2 Cups white vinegar 1 Cup water 2 spoonsful of vegetable or almond oil 2 spoonsful of lemon juice Mix in a spray bottle and spray on clothes and hair. Reapply every 4 hours. Don't know if this works but it says can be used on dogs also for flea and tick prevention.

YT 2000 Club Member | I wonder if the dogs coat gets really oily using the veg oil or almond oil. If they lick that stuff is it ok? I would hope some nature conscious vet would come up with something. If this worked it would be used by the natural pest control people. I am open to new healthy ideas, thanks for the idea. |

| Well I was a few days late on his last dose of frontline and saw no "little friends" but then I don't know if frontline actually stops working at the 30 day mark or a little longer.
