| help! I have two yorkies, and one of them is constantly humping his outdoor bed. I have tried positive reinforcement, giving him a treat when I say lay down and he lays down instead. Im constantly telling him to stop, and its the worst when we have company over. I know its an attention thing, but even when he gets the attention he is looking for, he goes right back to humping his bed. Everyone notices and it gets embarrassing. Today while we had pest control at our house, he humped his bed so long his red rocket (sorry dont know what to say here) was stuck out, and he was stuck in this awkward hunched position. Help!! I have taken away the bed several times but I feel bad for my other yorkie who needs a soft place to lay while we are gone!

| LMAO! I'm so glad I have a girl Have you tried a mat type of bed? Maybe a flat one will stop his romantic relationship with the bed?!?

| What is the gender of each dog and are both neutered? Has your little humper been vet checked for this? What is the nature of each dog - dominant, submissive, calm, nervous?

| Have you tried squirting him with a squirt bottle and saying no? You said his out door bed and then you said you can't take it away because the other Yorkie needs something soft to lay on when you gone, do you leave them outside when your gone?

| I should add that on top of the pet fence, we have a 6 foot tall fence with brick edging, so even if they had free reign there was no way out! but they havent escaped the pet fence yet!

Have you considered a new bed to see if maybe the humping would stop. I've heard that it's more of a dominance thing than a... you know what I am saying. Good luck, it is embarrassing!! lol |

| This is the second bed! But I may just have to take it away. They both had bed in their crates, but the humper kimchi would hump his then chew it so it was taken away, and miso would poop on his. so neither of them have beds to sleep on in their crates during the night! They have indoor beds they cuddle in while they are inside though. This bed may just need to go also!
