| I saved a turtle today.... I was rushing to leave for work. I let the "pack" out for one last pee. I have to watch sammy to be sure he pees (he is the one with the kidney problems) so I did not have my eyes on the yorkies. I hear intense barking... went to look .. the yorkieshad a turtle as big as they are cornered on a fence post. Poor turtle was trying to get away... they were barking like they were going to kill. oh my I managed to lift a section of the fence near the turtle that is wire.. that turtle ran down the slope and was in the water in the blink of an eye Of course Remy runs to that spot each time I let her out... trying to see if she can get out of the fence. sigh

| I bet the turtle really appreciated your interference! I once found a box turtle wedged inside a square of my chain link fence. After I pried it out my collie mix wouldn't stop following it around until bed time! |

| Good job, Shinja! I always stop to save turtles when they try to cross the road. We used to get a lot of that at the shore in NJ. I see some down here as well.

That thought occured to me. I did not pick up... I looked on the internest and I think it was a yellow belly turtle. What I wonder...is how the turtle got into my yard???? Will my fur buts find that weak spot before I do???

| I love box turtles..snapping turtles not so much. Glad you are such an observant mommy..it could have been a bad situation if you hadn't been out there.

lol... kind of hard to miss two yorkies barking their heads off. It did take a second or two to see what they were barking at. I will say once the turtle was on the "other side" of the fense he moved FAST....right into the water.
