| Platinum?? I was just looking around on Puppy Find (just looking!) I have no intention of getting another yorkie at this time! But, I'm just curious, what is a platinum yorkie?? I don't recall ever seeing this when I was searching for my Mia?? |

| they may use that as a ploy to get more money......but i may be wrong..not sure...blonde/platinum........not sure if the platinum is a correct term other than using it to say they are more rare.

| I think it's just another way to say how light blonde they are. Blazer's dad is "platinum" and at the rate he's going Blazer may end up just as light. |

| It exists but it's off standard ans is considered a "fault". Uni and Toto are both "platinum". Toto is all over platinum, I think he may be mixed w Maltese he's so white! Uni is platinum on the saddle.

| Funny, my DH said Princess Sophie was going grey and I said "no it's platinum" not even realizing this was a common term. LOL I just think it makes her more precious to me. Ha!!

| This is a platinum yorkie from the same lady I got my pup from. I'd never heard of platinum yorkies before I saw her. I think she looks awfully fancy! |

| How interesting!! It looked like some of them were solid white! I love it! I might have to look into that when/if I ever decide to get Mia a playmate! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Awwww....y'all are giving me puppy fever and Jasper is only 16 weeks old!! But *sigh*hubby says he gets to pick our next furbaby. So it will be big. He loves Jasper though. However, he would not even hold him the first week we had him because he was so scared he'd drop him. The breeder had him petrified by the time we left with Jasper. She kept reiterating how they like to "fly" instead of jump. Oops sorry...got off topic. :/

| Problem is color Yorkies like Platinum , Chocolate ect aren't the Standard. These breeders breed these dogs and try to sell them as "Rare" ect. There can be certain health problems that can occur when you get away from the Standards. Sure ppl will say my dog is a "---" and the are healthy. No problem. The Problem is the breeders are selling dogs as rare for $$$$ when in fact they are doing wrong for the Bred. I can find litters from Championed pairs that go for 1/2 as some of these puppies. Which health checks ect. PPl are in it for the $$$ yeah they will say they have healthy dogs ect...but they aren't promoting the breed. They are diluting it. Do get me wrong alot of Yorkies turn white and can be healthy. But to try to sell them as rare for alot more $$$$ is wrong imo |
