| My first post. In time of need. Hi, I have been a member since 2008 and this is my first post. It took me a while but I really need to "talk" and need some Yorkie friends. Last Friday my beloved LouLou was mauled at my feet by a Saint Bernard. She died from internal injuries and I'm just devastated beyond words. She was my ESA and my best friend who got me and my family though tough emotional times with her endearing personality and loving ways. She was not physically perfect by any means - many potential parents passed her up due to her imperfect bite. She found her home with us when she was 8 months old and that is her picture in my profile. As far as I was concerned, I won the doggy lottery and she was spectacular. My husband is adamant that we need another dog soon. It wont diminish my love for my LouLou but it will fill an empty hole in my heart and on my husbands pillow where LouLou used to sleep. I have had a Yorkie since since I was 7 years old (now I'm 52!) and can't think of home as complete without one of these lovely little dogs. As soon as I can get my head above water and stop crying, I'm going to start looking. I'm old enough to know that one just needs to get on with it. Thank you for listening and being Yorkie lovers, too. |

| I'm so so sorry about LouLou. Your heart will guide you as to the right time, but for me, personally, a new fur to love would help heal my heart Good luck and I'm sorry this had to happen for you to make your first post

| I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to find Gracie Ruth so quickly after I loss my sweet Annie B. It really did help to heal my shattered heart and she continues to be a blessing beyond measure. I pray you find that very special fur-baby to help your family heal.

| I'm horrified to read what happened to your LouLou. I hope Animal Control has investigated and quarantined the killer dog to watch for evidence of rabies for the safety of other animals and people in the community. I pray that you can find another Yorkie to help redirect that horror as quickly as possible to the joy of having another precious dog filling your time and thoughts. I believe that it might help you keep from dwelling on the terrible details of Friday and reliving them over and over and instead, focusing on your new dog and its personality and needs. And you need a dog to hold and love now. LouLou would want you to be happy and give another dog a home and when you remember her, recall only the best of times with her. I pray that your healing from this tragedy will begin soon and one day you will find peace.

| I'm so very sorry for your loss, your little LouLou was very pretty and I agree with you there is just no other breed like a Yorkie. These little Dogs have the Heart and Soul of a Lion and they seem to know all the time when there Mom and Dad need them the most. I hope that you will find a new Baby soon the heal your Heart. ((hugs))

My exact feelings and beliefs.....I can not even begin to imagine the psychological horror you relive every moment, with the imprint of that event permanently etched into your mind, replaying over and over, every time you close your eyes. I only wish there was something I could say to you and everyone else who has suffered through this type of assault to your psyche. I have never gotten over watching an owl/ hawk carry off my little chihuahua right in front of me, back in 1975.....it does not take my breath away in the same sharp, jagged way it did for so many years, but I have not ever erased that from my mind's eye. While traumatic, it does not compare to the horror of what has happened to you and I am sooooooooo sorry you are scarred by this now. I can only pray for you....pray for His strength to lessen the trauma this has caused you. He led you to this, He will lead you thru it. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 05-06-2013 at 06:52 AM. | |

| I, too, am so very sorry that you had to witness this traumatic event. Your LouLou was beautiful! She is your very own Yorkie Guardian Angel now. I really believe getting another pup will help your heart to heal...do it in YOUR time though. Follow your heart and you will know. Just know that LouLou will always be in your heart and she definitely would want you to heal and move forward - and give that love you have to another precious pup. Rest in peace, Sweet LouLou

| How horrible...I am so sorry. Only you can decide when it is time to get another Yorkie, but by all means, do it if you feel you should...don't feel guilty or that you are 'replacing' her because you want a baby to love or feel empty without her. There must be one waiting for you that needs you more than LouLou did...perhaps it is time to find that baby and give it what it needs, too. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and the horrible tragedy that preceded it...things like that should never happen. {{{Hugs}}}

| I am so sorry for the loss of your little one! No one can ever take her place but having another to cuddle will help. |
