| Potty Training Question Hello! I will be getting my 3 1/2 month old pups from the breeder soon. She claims they will be potty trained, however reccomends a wire play pen with a potty pad for them to safely play in and stay when we go out. I'm wondering if the potty pads will smell up the house, and if there is any way with their tiny bladders, that they could be trained to knock at the door when they have to go outside to the bathroom. I'd appreciate any thoughts or tips on the potty pad & potty training. Thanks in advance for your advice! |

| At that young age, they go potty VERY frequently. I use potty pads with Cooper and they do not smell up the house. I use the Nature's Miracle ultra absorbent pads as well as the washable pads, and have not had a problem with odor. Good luck and congratulations on your new little bundles of joy!

| I use the highly absorbent pads that hold up to 3 cups of liquid (even though I change them before it gets to that stage, about once a day) and they never smell. I believe these pads have odor control and a scent attractant that encourages them to go on the pad. When she poops, I pick up the little nugget with a paper towel and discard it as soon as I spot it because those DO stink. |
