| New here Hello! I thought I would come into the general discussion to introduce myself. I am a 30 year old female and the mother of 2 children-Nellie & Sam. Nellie is a 4 1/2 year old yorkie, and Sam is a 5 year old border collie. I wish I had discovered yorkie & BC discussion boards in the past, because they are sure are interesting & difficult breeds! I would love to learn others' points of views & get as many tips as I can (like why my yorkie feels area rugs are the best toilet!) Thanks!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Is Nellie pad trained or strictly outdoor? Sometimes pad trained dogs will treat anything that resembles a pad (like rugs) as a piddle pad. Hopefully other people will have some advice on how to curb this behavior.

| Hi and welcome to YT! I love that you have a Yorkie and Border Collie. I have a Yorkie and a Sheltie mix that looks like a Border Collie lol As for the rugs..Yeah, I can't help with that. It's just in their dna I think. Mandie is not allowed in the bathrooms without me and I had to take up the brand new rug I bought for my living room last month lol Silly girl

| Hello and welcome to YT. Yep, we had to pull up rugs to keep Izzy from using them as well.
