| Interesting Article about AKC and bad breeders I saw this article today. I know a lot of us recommend using AKC to find reputable breeders. I do know that there is always a few rotten apples in any barrel but let's hope it isn't wide spread. Isn't anything not corrupted anymore? I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | There's another thread going on about it. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...oday-show.html. I don't recommend someone find a breeder through the AKC, any breeder can advertise there and it doesn't mean that they are reputable. I wouldn't recommend a breeder who didn't use the AKC, the other registries are paper registries and not worth the paper they aren't written on. On one hand, you're talking about a purebred dog and on the other hand, your talking about humane kennel conditions, and all of this is just part of being a reputable breeder. If you want a reputable breeder, you are more likely to find one who is in a breed club like the YTCA.

| Yes I just read it myself, I already question the CKC as they have non members they allow to register pure bred dogs but can cross breed their dogs with other breeds. I think that if you run a business that's there for the improvement of the breed you shouldn't allow this |
