| No help for you here. My sweet yorkie silky mix was given to me as a result of a friend of mine breeding her silky with another friends yorkie. True byb style, her only planned litter. Mom silky later died by getting run over so my Huey and his 5 littermates are the only ones who will ever be from that union. (And mine was the best of the bunch)

| I asked my vet if he knew someone I could trust. I wanted a small dog, and was really looking for a shih tzu. He suggested yorkies....to which I rolled my eyes and said..those yappy little things? Oh have I eaten those words Anyway he gave me a name of a lady who is a couple steps up from a byb but is really into the health and wellbeing of her pups and is a ethical person. I got Remy from her and I love her to peises(remy-- like the lady lol)!!! My dh also got a dog from the same lady.

| I got Marcie from a co-worker. Her two Yorkies figured out the "Bird & Bee" thing before she could get the male neutered. |

| I got my first Yorkie from a rescue organization. A few months later, I got another Morkie from the same rescue. I'm getting my next Yorkie next month from a breeder in New Hampshire.

| I found my Yorkie on petfinder.com. Eldon Plank in Arthur, Illinois (Amish country) is the breeder, and my little Bella is AKC registered, healthy, and absolutely adorable! |

| My boy was a gift from my neighbor after I delivered him and his 5 siblings while my neighbor was at work. He would have probably died without assistance (he was the first out but breech and his head was still inside when mama started to bite at the cord so I pulled him out.) The runt almost died, too- I spent a lot of time working on that little bugger to keep him alive. In all there were 6 pups when the neighbor was only expecting 4 or 5 and 2 would have probably died without me so she gave me one as a gift- which ever pup I wanted (out of the 5 males, the 1 girl was already purchased.) I chose Blazer- the medium size brown boy with four white paws and a blaze of white on his chest. My oldest daughter named him the night the pups were delivered. I've been with him all but 4 days of his entire life so far. He'll be a year at the end of May.

| My Ace I am a retired Frenchie breeder. I have always wanted a pet Yorkie, but knowing the kind of attention they need I have held off.... until now. I am no longer breeding and since I am also retired from working, and my kid is 42 with kids of her own and living elsewhere, I AM READY!! I did my homework re: rescue etc and finally found a breeder who is really great. I went to visit and they liked me and I liked them. They answered all my questions, showed me "mom and dad" yorkies and introduced me to my ACE. He is 100% pure brilliant!! I will be able to bring him home sometime after 10 -12 weeks, and I can not wait!! |

| Not much help either, mine was given to me by a girl who work for me (bad situation, she had her for 2 weeks and decided she was not trainable and her husband was verbally abusive to Sophie Kate). My advice is either research a breeder through YT or go with a rescue (they are out there and have Yorkie's, some are even breed specific). This is a picture I do not share often because it reminds me or how scared Sophie Kate when I first got her. Note how is is cowering on the pillow on the chair, she was so scared of human touch - it breaks my heart to see it now. 4 years later she is a fabulous loving Yorkie but this came with a lot work and advice from my Vet and the fellow YTers.

| I got both of mine from local owners who wanted to breed their AKC pair (note: they each only had 1 litter and never tried it again!) Ziva comes from 4 and I picked her first. Abby from 5 and I had first pick of the 4 girls. They are the same size , weight and coloring and look like real sisters. |
