| My little guard dog I have two handymen over doing some odd jobs around the house and she is being so protective. She is 13 and toothless but she is making sure these guys know that this is her house. Unfortunately I have to lock her in the bedroom because they are in and out of the house. She is not a happy camper. These guys are like 6"3 and they had to laugh themselves because she was so serious. She looks like a little ant next to them. I hear her now barking her pretty little head off.......awww pooor baby Last edited by yavenay; 04-19-2013 at 11:49 AM. |

Mine has to inspect and approve everyone who comes to our home. So far, everyone has passed inspection and she lets them sit so she can get on their laps-lol.

| I have to put Gracie in the bedroom when I have workers over but not because she is protective! She loves these people and honestly would leave with any of them They always make a fuss over her and she loves it. She once snuck out with the cable guy. He didn't see her and neither did I because I thought she was in the bedroom with my daughter. When he finally left he found her up near the road (we live quite a distance from the main road) She has really scared the daylights out of me on several occasions! She is a real people puppy. |

| Huey thinks he has to protect his home from anything that moves outside, like the rabbits living in the back yard. This is a problem at times because I work nights and sleep in the day. Yesterday, it was a problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15We...e_gdata_player The funniest thing is when he protects me from dh. Everytine dh gets close for a kiss, Huey goes nuts and tries to get between us. I think he is just jealous!

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Yep, I know how that goes. Aren't these little guys protective of us? I like it. KS always lets me know when something is up. But now I wish she would get used to the idea that the daily visit from the mailman is ok. She goes nuts. Lol

| What a little doll she is! I bet she struts around the place too, just to prove her authority. Yorkies must feel 10 feet tall, based on how they protect us. Gotta love 'em! My little boy has to go outside every morning and do his business, but that includes "securing the perimeter" of the entire yard! I love it!

| Napoleon Syndrome at it's finest. That is one of the things I find most endearing about yorkies. Think it comes from my love for my grandmother. She was not quite 5 foot tall, my dad is 6'6". My grandma was loving and wonderful but one thing for sure: She may have been tiny but you didn't want to #$%#$%# grandma off.

| My Bug is the same. The best is once when I was sitting on the floor playing with her when a friend came over. She barked her wee head off at the door and then ran back into my lap and barked from there. It was hilarious. |
