| Back to work Enzo has been with us since Saturday, he's 7 months old. He seems to have already attached to me. Tomorrow I go back to work. I work Tues/Wed/Thurs.Any ideas to share to make my absence ok for him tomorrow? My husband & kids will be in and out all day. I will be home for lunch, but I don't always. I'm already fretting that he will be upset all day |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am in the same boat and have been off for 3 weeks with my little girl. I work in another city and commute 2 hrs per day. My hubby works nights and is always home during the day. He knows how to look after dogs as we have two border collies that were pups once. But I know she cries when I leave for 20 mins to go tanning. I put her in a large x pen with lots of toys and soft bed stuffed toys chew toys raw hides etc and her washable 4 pee pads overing the bottom of the pen. She also has water and my hubby feeds her during the day and plays with her after he gets up From sleeping. The x pen is in our living room so I can leave the tv on with music and I cover the pen with a blanket on the sides. I hope I am doing the right thing. If you find anything that works let me know b Thanks

| I left my sweatshirt by his bed when I left, and my daughter sent me a pic of him lying on it So that worked. Its just a matter of getting into a routine I guess, and considering we only adopted him on Saturday, he's doing quite well! I don't use rawhide, so we are ok there. Can anyone suggest a good chew bone for him? His other family used DiggIt bones, which he seems to like, and I just may stick with. I can't beleive how quickly he's worked his way into our hearts <3 He's a little shadow though, anytime I move, he's right there next to me! |

| Awww, he will soon learn that you come back. It's so hard leaving them at first. Well...ever lol. I just came back to work today after being off for the last 5 days. I sooo hated leaving my babies this morning. Just make sure you don't put up a big fuss when you leave. Some people say to not even say anything - just leave. I always say, "Ok. I'll be back in just a little bit. Bye. Take care of the house." Then, I leave. I don't know if it helps but I say it in a "matter of fact" tone so I think it does
