| Water everywhere. Hi there. . . Water everywhere. . . When my yorkie drinking her water the floor of our house is wet. This normally happen when we come back from a walk or just after we done playing and she's really thirsty. Her face hair is long and so when she drinks water it gets really wet and then everywhere is water. I don't want to cut the hair. I read somewhere that people that are showing long coated breeds use that bottles that guinea pigs drink out of for their dogs so that the hair stays dry. Help do you think that I should get a bottle like that? or What should I do to avoid it? Thanks. . . |

| You can just use a towel to dry it or put a place mat under the water bowl. Callie does this when she drinks but its not a lot of water just a few drops. I tried the water bottle and didn't feel she was getting enough water.

YT 1000 Club Member | As far as the mess/wet floor goes... I found a "mat" which is a cloth oval which one uses to sit hot pots on, on the countertop. Contains the mess around the bowls very well. I use two bowls for my guys, they really drink a LOT ! Hadn't thought much about how wet their Beards get.

| I had that same problem. I started to use a water bottle ( like the ones used for hamsters/ ferrets), he learned to use it right away. I think it is healthier since it is not opened and so less bacteria. |
