| yorkie coat is strange My yorkie , Beau, has a slight wave to his coat that cups in instead of hanging straight down....his beard cups toward his face as does his sideburns or whatever that is called. His long hair cups in and doesn't have a straight silky look...he has a very very thick coat...he is a gorgeous dog....5 lbs....with a beautiful face but what can I do to make his coat more silkly with less of a wave to it? |

| my cedric has a curly coat...sorry not sure what you could do to make it less wavy other than a straighting iron.. lol we use yorkie splash and shine shampoo which has done wonders for shine and tangles.

| If I let Huey air dry, he has a fairly wavy coat. I always blow dry and comb it straight during the drying. It stays straight until his next bath, but he is long and sometimes the lower third of his coat will either turn under a bit or flip outwards. I think it is like people hair...the way you lay on it affects the style, especially if you only washed your hair once a week. I use a good conditioner, but it takes a day after the bath for it to settle and lose the fuzziness. A spray on, leave in conditioner might help your pups coat to lay flatter. I use infusium when Huey is particularly fuzzy.

| Try adding salmon oil or coconut oil to their food. It helped mine get a silkier coat and less wave. |
