| Just been offered a rescue (from a friend) My friend has ended up homeless, ( I don't know the details, but I think it's probably just in the midst of waiting for a house etc ) But she offered to let me adopt a 1 year old chichuaha/jack russel cross. That was a rescue, and had been abused. She has a good nature. And is used to dogs. And she offered me the chance to take her in. I'd feel bad taking her. But wow what a privilage to be offered. Friend thought I would spoil her rotten, like I do Jasper. And of course I would. We had orignally been looking at 1 year old russels, in rescue centres the other month. But timing was bad because my aunt was sick. So have alot to think about and plan. So nervous. |

| So are you going to take her? I was nervous when I took Mikki. But now I'm so glad I did. Good luck in your decision!

| Maybe offer to foster the dog for your friend until she gets settled?

| I told my friend Donna, she can have as much time as she needs before I take her under my wing. We are going on a playdate with my Jasper, and her Kooshi, to see how things go, in a local park. It's hard to stop getting too exicted but wow. This is really perfect for me. As I am getting a full time job and was worried about Jasper on his own. |

| We also have chichuaha jack russel cross. They are really smart dogs and they're very cute. We got our dog when some kid was selling them outside of BJs one day. I couldn't resist him. If I didn't have dogs at home I would have taken all of his dogs. I never regretted taking him. I WOULD TAKE HIM IN A FLASH. I'm sure your friend would really be relieved and you will not regret it. |

| If I had a friend in a similar situation, and I could take the dog, I would in a heartbeat. Not only is it an honor to be asked, I have always been so rewarded just by the baby's love. I am sure you will make the right decision. Even if you just care for your friend's baby until she is back on her feet, you may find that you have the best time while the baby is with you.

| I'm sure your friend would feel relieved to know that you had the dog instead of some complete stranger. Good luck. I hope everything works out for all of you.

| Did you have the play date? If so, how did they get along? Hope it is well and you add a furbaby friend for Jasper.

| My Xillia was a JRT/Chi/Dachshund mix. She was REALLY smart and the most facially expressive dog I've ever seen! And her eyes...just thinking about them get to me. Big expressive eyes. Xillia was also a rescue (she showed up on our driveway one night and never left lol) and was definitely abused. She would run when we would get out pots and pans, poor thing. But she was the biggest cuddle bug! Did you make a decision yet? I'd say if you have the means and time, take her in. Your friend will still be able to visit and see him.
