| Two Yorkies Hello! Just wondering what people had to say about having 2 Yorkies! Is it best to have two females? Or a male and a female? Also- what is a good age to introduce a new puppy? |

| I have a male and a female and they get along well and they never fight. I got mine as pups both so they grew up together. They are like brother and sister. Its a little harder that way with potty training but it worked out for us

| I think dogs do best with another around, they are pack animals. I dont think boy/girl matters every dog is so individual it just depends on the dog. I have a boy and girl and we also foster some dogs just click well with others right away just like people but I have never seen a gender preference with mine.

| I couldn't say what's best. I have a boy and a girl and they are 6 days apart in age...both 3 as of today, Brody's birthday. Brody was 14 months old when we got him, and 3 months later, both Brody and Mia were 17 months old when we got her. Brody and Mia are best of friends, and soooooo good together. It's amazing, really.

| Not all of mine are yorkies but there are 5 toy breed dogs here age ranging from 13yrs to 2 yrs. They all have their space. One of my poodles still thinks that he is a puppy (11yrs with a heart condition) still plays hard with the youngest. |

YT Addict | I have a male and female who came from the same litter. They fight sometimes but I think it's more play than actual fighting. They eat, sleep and play together and really do love each other. I LOVE having two.

| Two is fun I got my 2nd Yorkie, Kiri, a rescue when she was just over a year old. My older dog, Jake, was 14 years old at the time. I had so much angst about doing it!!! But it has been worth it. While he's never going to be madly in love with her, they do get along even despite the huge age difference. (He's now 15). |

| I have two, a male and a female. They love each other and it's a lot of fun watching them play. However, it is a lot easier having one. Traveling is a lot easier with just one, but I love that my little guy has a buddy to hang out with when we are not with him. I don't feel as guilty when I go to work because he has his sister. Two are a lot of fun!

| I don't have two female yorkies but I have two females. Khloe is my one year old yorkie and Kirby is my soon to be nine year old bichon frise. For the most they get along fine. Bichons are sweet natured and cheerful dogs. Khloe is a little spicier but sweet and of course younger. When Kirby gets sick of playing with her little sister , sometimes she will go in another room and sometimes she just growls for little sister to stop nagging her. Khloe respects her big sister and knows to stop. Both have lap dog syndrome. They both love to be held and snuggle. You just have to give both girls equal love and time. Remember to greet and feed the dog you had first first. In my case Kirby gets greeted first and fed first. They NEVER fight. They play fight over toys but it never gets out of hand. No aggressiveness between them. I was worried about 2 females not getting along but no problem. |

| I have 2 little girls! One will be 9 yeas old in April and the other will be 6 years old March 26. The older girl was 3 when the new puppy came home to be her sister. They are like 2 peas in a pod......of course there is the occasional time when they growl but they get over it in seconds. They are my "little girls" and even now enjoy their new cousin...another little girl....a cavelier king charles spaniel who was 1 year old in November. We doggie sit her daily ( since she was brought home at 6 months old) and she is part of the family. Also have a 17 lb. male kitty who they love to chase and play with everyday. They take their important nap daily and all four will sleep together on the couch! I am so lucky and blessed! |
