| What's wrong with Roxy? My DH mentioned last week that when he sits down Roxy climbs on his arm or legs and starts to hump and she just did the same thing to me. She's a girl....why is she doing this? |

| It doesn't matter the sex of a dog...humping is a way of trying to dominate you. You need to make sure you do not allow that as she is trying to be the one "in charge". Last edited by Wallee; 03-20-2013 at 04:44 PM. Reason: spelling |

| This is the same information I have read on YT on several occasions! I thought only boy dogs did that too. LOL Guess the girls get in on it too! LOL

| The dog with the most dominant personality will do it..hehhee..my sister had two schnauzers...it was always the female who did the humping of the male..and I can tell you, she was the boss dog. |

| Yep. Nothing is wrong with your little girl. She's just an alpha and you and hubby need to let her know that she is NOT alpha to you guys. Just push her off and tell her a stern, "no." Be consistent...she'll get it.

| Dominance, she is telling you she is boss. When Callie was a puppy she did it a lot and nothing would stop her so this is going to sound terrible and she was not hurt or anything but my mom humped her back and she doesn't do it anymore.

| Thanks for the responses. I made Roxy stop and she looked a little confused. She is running things around our place since she arrived so I guess I have to step up my game and teach her that I'm the queen and she's the little princess. Ummmm but that cute little face and her head on my lap just melts my heart!! |
