| Resorting to gumtree for buying another Yorkie I have used gum tree once to buy my pomeranian Cora, who lives with at mums house (As when I moved out, I felt it would be cruel to ruin her routine etc, plus my mum loves her company). And I had a bad experience with the owner. She was sold at a relatively high price despite being 6 months old. And when we got her we found out she had no name given to her by the previous owner, and was kept outside. When I 'paid'/adopted Jasper my 11 month old Yorkie, it worked out great because a close friend's yorkies, accidentally mated before they were supposed to be spayed, and I got to meet Jasper about 5-6 times before taking him home at 8 weeks old. I loved the fact I got to bond with him before hand. The trouble is, I don't know anyone personally selling any yorkies. It was mear luck the last time. I tried the registered kennel club for the UK, but nothing ever comes up for Northern Ireland. Which is a shame. I am worried if I use gumtree, I'll have another bad experience with the owner/breeder. I would like to meet the puppy I take home with once at least, before taking home. I also want to meet the mum and dad, and make sure they are raised in a family home. I don't know how to go about doing this. Has anyone got any good tips, on this? Thanks. | Do you have anything there like our YTCA? If so I would check there for a breeder. If not maybe post and ad in your newspaper and state your desire to meet the puppies, the parents, and see where and how they are raised. Good luck in your search.

| resources I am having a quiet night at work so did a little research on YT and found one member who lives in NI and also appears to breed occasionally. Her YT name is bellemarie but she hasn't been on YT since Feb. She might be a good resource for you to contact. Also there is a rescue in NI that might be another place to look. Northern Ireland Yorkshire Terrier Rescue Yarnscombe - EX31 I also found the UK Kennel Club assured breeder site, but it doesn't look like anything is in Ireland. Kennel Club Assured Breeders for Yorkshire Terrier Hope this info helps.
