| Do I add a brother or sister? I really want Jasper to have a baby brother or sister. But worried how they'll get on. Jasper is not neutered. I will get it done if I decide on a girl puppy. He gets on great with mums dog Cora who is three. Jasper is 11 months. A pic of Cora and jasper. Jaspers the yorkie. |

YT 2000 Club Member | That is a pretty, cute lapfull! I think 11 months, is a great age to add another to the mix. Happy puppy hunting if you decide to go for it!

| I like the male/female combination. Ive had my pair for 8 yrs and they get along great no fights. Plus its nice to have a male you can dress more manly and a female you can dress more girly. It works well for my Husband too

| It's probably the best fit. Just hate the neutering process. Cora was very sore when she was spayed. I heard with two unnetured males they like to mark their territory constantly. Yuck. Lol |

| I think that two is actually less work than one, they keep each other occupied. But I have 5 now so wouldn't know what I'd do with ONLY 2.... |

YT 1000 Club Member | When adding, I always alternate Sex, and hold to some other criteria also. That being... Same Breed, Opposite Sex, The newbie 2 years younger than the (youngest) Resident. I am a very firm believer in Dogs having Dogs as companions. After seeing how My Male/Female combinations get along, I fully realize that Mother Nature is a LOT smarter than we Humans. That does not include Breeding, just the psychological stability which Males and Females can enjoy.

| Two Yorkies are great My two are a source of great joy ... and I couldn't even think about having just one But having one dog at a time before you'll need to understand that two dogs interact differently ... and they change their behavior from when there is just one That is not good or bad it just is One will take the lead role and the other will follow there might be some aggression bumps in the road But when you open the door when you come home and see those two sets of eyes on you .... it's all worth it

| I have a boy & a girl. They're close to the same age - 5 months apart. I think they have a wonderful relationship! They do have their moments...but at the end of the day, they always end up snuggling together in bed
