| 18 weeks At 18 weeks and older, do puppies typically grow to the size projected by a growth chart? |

YT 2000 Club Member | Hmmm...some do, some don't! Teeka has stayed pretty close to the YT growth chart but I know others have not.

| Both of mine have stayed close to chart but grew more after a year old. Laddy was 3.8 at a year old and is now 4.8 at 4 years old. Kyra at a year old was 2.8 and varies between 2.12 and 3lbs now at 16 months. They both put on weight after being fixed.

| My little one was weighed at the vet this week at only 2.5 pounds and I was concerned about em being smaller than 4 pounds as an adult. The vet said he was a normal weight and not to worry but would be small. Is this the YT growth chart you are referring to? This one has stayed very close to the chart so far yet I was hoping would be at least in the 4-6 pound range, I never imagined smaller. Yorkshire Terrier Information Center | Yorkie Growth Chart |

| Ok, thank you. I noticed there is still a big lump after the vaccine shot 4 days ago and wonder how long it will take for that to go away or is it an allergic reaction that needs attention? |

YT 2000 Club Member | I suggest starting a new thread for this question. Someone with more knowledge on vaccines would be able to help you with this. Have you talked to your vet about the lump?

| I did a quick search and it's normal, unless hives appear so I guess we're good. These dogs are so tiny. At least they're black so you can see them on the floor. I'd hate to step on em. |

YT 2000 Club Member | I had one with a lump and very painful. I had to take her in to get some meds to help counteract the inflammation!

| I'll keep an eye on it, not crying when I touch it. My goodness, if this puppy is only 3.5 pounds grown, how tall could it possibly get? Time will tell. I've looked at many pictures and videos of yorkshire terriers and there is certainly a wide range in how they look. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Just as a comparison.....Teeka was 2.11 lbs. & 6 1/2 in. @ 18 weeks. Your little girl still has a lot of growing to do and I think she will make it to 4 lbs!

| I hope so. It'd make me more comfortable in the standard range. It won't be long. Thanks for the comparison. |
