| Puppies that young will definitely have short hair... They're too young to have it grown out much. Also, Yorkie puppies are dark. They'll grow in their adult colors up until age 2. Do you have any papers?

| Whether she is pure bred is the least of your worries at this point. Puppies should not leave there mothere until 12 weeks. Small breed puppies sometimes are not even completely weened or have all there teeth by 7 weeks. You need to make sure you do not leave this pup alone for any more then an hour and you need to make sure to know about hypoglycemia and what to do about it. Do not take this pup around other dogs or where other dogs have been. If the pup is not eating it is VERY important you get her to the vet and be shown how to force feed. If the pup seems sicky at all get her to the vet. We have seen many pups who have gone to there new owners this young and not make it so please be careful and know the number of your closets er vet.

| Hello and WELCOME to YT! A puppy that young wouldn't have much hair at that age. You may not be able to tell until it gets older rather or not it's mixed with something, unless you have legitimate papers from the breeder. You got your puppy pretty early, so please make sure you stick around the site and read as much info and ask as many questions as you can. Again Welcome to YT .

| I got my puppy at 8 days due to the death of the mother. Everyone thought he was a rottweiler. Now at 15 weeks he fluffy and his color is changing. |

| My Yorkie had very short hair until 15 weeks and now it is starting to grow. I don't think it will grow very fast because we believe him to be a red leg. That said 7 weeks is still very young, her body probably has to concentrate on a lot of other developing rather than fluffy hair growth. |
