| New Brother for Jagger Jagger is my 14 mo. old Yorkie and I am looking to get him a playmate. I have 2 question for the seasoned professionals.. 1st. Jagger is Neutered. Should I get him a brother or sister??? The 2nd question is potty training. For the most part, Jagger does great. He goes potty outside every time we take him out. He does not tell us when he wants to go out but that OK... baby steps!!! Do I train the 2nd one different with another one in the house that goes out already.. We started Jagger out on the pads for a couple of months.. |

| Hello and welcome to YT! So exciting getting another pup for your Jagger to play with. Since he is neutered, I would think either a brother or a sister would be fine. We had Jack first and he is neutered. We got Izzy when Jack was over 3 years old. We just had her spayed. They get along great but I have heard that two boys get along great too. On the potty training - Jack goes outside (he tells us when he has to go) and we have trained Izzy to go on the papers/pads. So I think you would be fine continuing to take Jagger out and train your new one on papers/pads.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome. I think either a male or female would be fine. It may be fun to have one of each. I have 1 that will only use pee pads, one that only goes outside and one that will use both. If Jagger is going outside, he may teach the puppy to go outside too. It is convenient to use puppy pads though when they are young. Keep us posted.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Have you tried the "bell" on the door it works great, milos only 8 month and goes outside all the time and fingers crossed Mickey will follow he's 9 weeks and him and all the litter mates go on the patio to pee and poo during the day although still using the pads at night. As for boy/girl depends on your baby do you have anything to compare like friends that have a boy or girl. My second was a girl think it was more a girly thing on my part wanting to do dress up bows and all that
