| Pics of Cappy's un-docked tail.... I just read a Poll about not docking a Yorkie's tails...... the history of tail-docking goes way back to dogs utilitarian days...the tails were docked to prevent injury when chasing game through brush or small areas....I think, bc most are not used for chasing rats out of holes anymore....that the breed standards should drop the docked tail...but that is just my opinion.... Oddly my breeder did not dock Cappy's tail.....nor his moms, and when I say his moms tail with the long silky hair, I thought it was beautiful...and I love to see Cappy's little tail wagging away....the tails is very useful for a dog to communicate it's feelings.....wags when happy, goes between the legs when sad or guilty...etc.... Anywho...attached is a pic of Cappy sprawled out with his full on tail!!! You'll notice that there isn't a huge visual difference...at least I don't think so! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | That's a sweet picture of your sleeping baby. My daughter wishes Trace's wasn't docked and tells me constantly that the NEXT one is gonna have his tail. I've tried to explain the tails are docked when the pup's are only days old....she just says....we find one before it's born and tell their owner. I am kinda partial to that little stub tail

| Cappy is a little doll! You won't notice much difference in the tail, because most of the yorkies with a long coat also have longer hair on the tail.
