| I don't suggest flea dips I would talk to your vet. Have you tried Advantage?

| I use flea powder for the carpet, capstar for my yorkie and cats, diatomaceous earth on EVERYTHING! Including their coat. I have to be aggresive because I am allergic to fleas. |

| Once you are infested, you need something to break the life cycle of the eggs and fleas. Talk to your vet. Vacuum your entire home every single day, including under as much furniture as possible. Wash bedding and everything else that can be washed as often as possible. You can use regular dog shampoo and really soap up your dog to kill fleas and wash away eggs. Rinse really well with water.

I was in a really, really bad infestation at one point and I broke down and bought some flea Raid. it worked. But I still vacuumed everything daily and washed all bedding and blankets every 3 days. What an awful experience...I cannot imagine going through head lice!

| Those nasty little critters can lay thousands of eggs in a very short period of time. The vacuum is you major weapon. They like to lay eggs in carpeting, along the edges of rooms, under the cushions of your furniture, dog beds, blankets of any kind, etc. Try to take one day to go after them with vacuuming, washing and treating your yard. Then try some Capstar. Capstar will kill every flea on the pet's body then also treat with Advantage II or whatever brand your vet recommends. They can both be used on the same day.. Capstar is a one day treatment that kills off all the fleas that are on your pets. If you only use the Advantage or whatever it will take much longer to kill all the fleas. Hopefully you will only have to use the Capstar once. Make sure you empty your vacuum outside. You can also put moth balls in your vacuum canister to kill any eggs that may linger there. Sprays are just not very effective. Diatomaceous earth is a good all natural powder you can use inside and out to kill any stray bugs. |

YT 3000 Club Member | flea busters for the house is the only way to go, look it up online, its powder that goes into the carpet , baseboards, pet beds and it is awsome, it will work for a year and getting it wet is the only thing or shampooing your carpets. I have had it done for 3 years in a row. I had fleas after a few months in my place and could not get a handle on it, frontline, vacuming every day and after fleabusters maybe a few once in awhile. it rocks |
