| Green Eye Shine? Does anyone know what having green eye shine means??? My girl's got it and heard there's some myths about the whole thing and I'm curious. Thank you!

| They say that the pigmentation of the eye and coat texture are related genetically. I dont know if it is scientifically accurate. I think the green reflection indicates shiny silky coat while the red eye color indicates a more softer, thicker coat (cotton). Hope that helps

| Yes that is also what I've heard. Green shiny eyes is silky coat. Sometimes the green shiny color doesn't come through in pictures for a while. Coco is just now getting the green shiny eyes in some pictures.

| I can tell you that my experience has been right on-green to bluish-green eyes have silky coats. I had a female whose eyes were a golden color when a light or flash was shined in her eyes in the dark, and her coat was a thick soft coat. Of course, that is not "ALWAYS" as anything dealing with living creatures cannot be stated as "ALWAYS". The dog needs to be older to be sure...or not. |
