| Should I take Pops for a clip? Hello, well I have a Chihuahua cross Yorkshire Terrier called Poppy. She's a year old and I've never had her clipped, I just bath her and brush her, but lately, although her hair isn't that long, it looks so wild along her back! It sticks up! I don't know if she would need stripping, as she feels a bit wirey, but underneath is very soft, so maybe she'd need clipping. She just looks a bit silly at the moment if I'm honest with her funny fur! This is what happens when I bath and blow dry her, ha ha! http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...11-12007-1.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...0-11-12016.jpg And this is how she looks dry! http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...1-11-12012.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...15-2-13001.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...15-2-13002.jpg |

| Thank you, also I'm worried that if I try, she'd be really cold, and she doesn't like wearing coats. |

| I do like her scruffy looking, it's just the fur on her back goes so wild sometimes that she looks like a camel with humps ha ha! |

| She is so cute! I have a yorkie mix and I don't do a lot with her...I just keep her feet hair well cut and her nails. Once in a while...maybe twice/year she does get a bit of clipping by the groomer, but I prefer her to keep her "wild" look.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I love her colouring, lovely little red head (and body). Have you tried letting her dry naturally? I don't blow dry Alfie because of his skin condition and he drys in a few minutes. Though he does try to rub himself over every bit of upholstery so I put nice hot fluffily towels straight out of the dryer for him. |

| Thank you for all your replies! I think I will leave her fur how it is then! Do you know, I haven't ever let her dry naturally! I have always blow dried her, for fear of her getting cold, but I think I worry about her too much, and I'm sure she's tougher than I think! I even blow dry my Staffy ha ha! I will try letting her dry naturally next time I bath her, and see if it makes a difference! |

| I think she is adorable. I like the bed head look. But you could just have the back saddle area croped close and leave the head legs and tail long. That look is cute too.

| Thank you, I would rather not have to clip her really. I am going to let her dry naturally and see if that makes a difference to her funny back fur! |
