| hellp Benji is almost 5 months old. He lost his first baby tooth Saturday. This morning at 4:00 am he throw up brown bile and he is a bit warm. He has been throwing up every hour but only brown bile nothing solid. Is that from teething? Linda ♥ |

YT 2000 Club Member | Since Benji is throwing up quite often, please take him to the vet asap! He could already be getting dehydrated!

| Thank you both ♥ Yes, I called my vet right away and took Benji in to them. He is on a diet food for today and I have to keep an eye on him. If he is still throwing up tomorrow I have to bring him back for exrays but I hope it passes through and he gets better. He threw up in the vet's office and we saw a piece of red onion in it. He must have gotten a hold of a piece that fell to the floor, I will have to keep a better eye on what is on the floor and sweep it more often than I do now. |

| Did they do blood work to check for panreatitis or some other problem? Puppies dehydrate so quickly I surprised they did not give him some IV fluids before they sent him home. Yes, watch him very closely. Pups can go down hill very quickly. Please let us know how he is doing Is he drinking water? |

| Help ♥ Yes they gave him IV liquid and they also gave him a needle to slow down the throwing up and two cans of diet food. If he is still throwing up tomorrow I have to call them and bring him in. |

| So glad you took him to the vet, but I am going to say it was probably the onion. Hopefully he has gotten that all out of his system. Praying he quits vomiting and is feeling back to his normal self really soon,.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Uh OH . . . I just found that out myself just a few months back. But not an issue for us, my dogs are never given people food. Only on a rare occasion if the dishes are not taken out of the living room and they help themselves. (never me, always the kids or hubby) Here is a list of human foods that your pup should never have: ASPCA | People Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Pets

| Update on Sir Benji I took Sir Benji to the vet and the doctor that was there checked his temperture and it was up just a bit that worried her. She then stood him up and started feeling under his belly and around his intestine and on the left side she pushed and he went to bite her and she said you see that, there is something there. So she took him and took some exrays and sure enough there was something there she said as long as her thumb and as round. So we had to take him back the next day which was Wednesday, Feb. 6th. for surgery. We brought him back the next morning and they had to put him on iv and some fluids. At 2 pm that evening they went in and took out what was there. We went in that evening at 4 pm to see how he was doing. We were not allowed to see him of course because he was sleeping. What they found was a wad of dog hair with something in it. He must have gotten into our 18 year old daughters room where she has her dog which sheds all the time and if it isn't swept up twice a day it spreads. Well, when they went in they didn't want to cut where the object was because the intestine had two small bruise marks on it so they cut down a bit farther hopeing to pull it out from there but it wouldn't budge so they had to cut where they didn't want to cut which was where the bruising was and when they cut it and took out this big piece of dog hair all matted together with some kind of hard stuff in it they noticed that the inside of the intestine where the stuff that was sticking up was after rubbing against the intestine and making it red. So they got it out and sewed the two parts that they had to cut open plus his belly. He had to stay at the clinic on Thursday and we went to pick him up on Friday at 4:30 pm. He was so happy to see us and he lost a few pounds. He is eatting the can food that they gave me to give him a chicken nuggent size piece when ever he is hungry and he is drinking his water when he is thristy. He has had a few pees and two bowel movements. They were worried yesterday because he didn't have a bowl movement but when we got him home last night and I gave him some food and he went outside he did his bowel movement. I was happy. He is on his way to recovery. He has a cone on his head which he hates. But he is a good boy, he takes his meds when he needs to. He was at the clinic all night by himself from 9 pm to 8 am in the dark that he was have cryied himself to sleep. Last night when he was sleeping I would hear him have a bad dream and then he would wake up and run and cuddle hard into my side. If he didn't have the cone on his head he would have had his head wrapped around mine. Poor little guy, first time alone at night in the dark in a place he didn't know. I am giving him all the love I got to give him. Now it is just time. ♥ |
