| Hello Everyone ! Meet Toffee ! Hi Everyone ! I am new to this forum and glad to meet you all! My puppy's name is Toffee and he is three months old now. I would like to ask you how often do you recommend giving puppy a bath ? I wash him with a gentle oatmeal shampoo (any recommendations on shampoo brands and kinds ?) but I haven't used a conditioner on him. Should I ? I keep reading different things and it can get just overwhelming at times. So I thought I would come to the experts !!! Ps: His coat is brushed on daily basis. |

| Hi, I give a bath to Murphy once a month. It's been so cold here in New Jersey so Murphy doesn't really stay out for too long except for a quick potty. If he needs a little spot cleaning in between I just take a soapy wash cloth and clean his little butt or his feet. I don't like to bathe more frequently because I don't want to dry out his skin since he does have dry skin especially in this cold weather. My first yorkie had skin allergies so I did bathe him once a week since it made feel better & his skin was oily so it all depends on your puppy's skin type..I use a puppy oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. Donating YT 30K Club Member | I bathe mine every 2-3 weeks. I use different shampoos. Right now I am using Pet Silk and Bio Groom. Can't wait to see pictures of Toffee.

| I would recommend that you use an all natural sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. There are several on the market. Yorkie Splash and Shine, Isle of Dogs, BioGroom, Pet Head are a few of the all natural brands. Using a product like that will keep your pet's skin and coat from getting dried out from frequent washings. I keep Gracie in a long coat and bathe her weekly using mostly Yorkie Splash and Shine products. These little dogs love to sit in your lap and sleep with their humans and it does not take much to keep them clean. Many also use a spray conditioner for between baths. It helps stop static and makes combing out and brushing much easier for both of you. |

| Hi and welcome to YT! =) I bathe Blazer every Friday with a natural and gentle, oatmeal based conditioning shampoo and also use a separate conditioner. I recommend continuing to brush Toffee daily as well as brush his teeth and always play with his feet and ears! =)

| Welcome to YorkieTalk and congrats on your pup! I bathe my yorkie once a week or sometimes less often in the winter. I would make sure you are using a tear free puppy shampoo sense pups tend to more around and wiggle a lot.
