| What type of coat will she have? Hello everyone. My new baby's coat is very soft and straight. Like you can barely feel it. But I noticed her fur is not like many of the other puppies with the thick mustache and goatee. It's not real short but it's so soft and it blow in the wind. She actually doesn't want to potty in the cold because she's shaking like a leaf. Has anyone else had a pup with a coat like this? I'm hoping she will have a full coat. I have to post my other pics in reply's because the forum says they are too big but I resized them as instructed. Any input on her coat is appreciated. Pics will help as well. Do you think she will have a full coat? |

| Last pic This is a pic of her looking directly into the camera. Oh, and her feet are actually cottony. But the rest is soft and silky. |

| Yorkies have hair not fur like most other dogs and they do not have under coats like other dogs to keep them warm and that is why they need coats and sweaters. Your pup needs to be kept warm. Also she has now what is a puppy hair but will eventually get her adult hair. Puppy hair can tangle very very easily so make sure to comb her at least once a day and make sure your getting all the way to the skin.

| She's so cute! I think she'll be a...silky! Silky hair tends to grow slowly, their hair can reach the floor @ about 9 months. Get her used to hair brushing everyday, teeth brushing too.

| What a cutie! Her fur on her body looks really nice. I see what you are saying about the face. The hair does look a little thin there. Could the breeder have trimmed her face and ears? I see the hair on her ears looks short like someone may have trimmed it a while ago. Many people do trim the ears on puppies to make sure the ears stay up. Maybe they trimmed the face, too? |

| She is so cute! I know Huey changed coats and colors several times before he settled on silky tan and blue. I still think the tan on the top of his head is more cottony. I don't know if they can be both, but be prepared for several false starts before you find out what the final coat will be

| How old is she? She looks a little young to me, maybe it's just the pictures. I think she will probably have a silky coat but hard to tell from pictures for sure... |

| She turned 10 wks on the 31st. She is a pistol! So much personality. I was just curious. It's so much fun guessing! Thank for complimenting her! |

Yorkie Yakker | My little one's color on her head broke through early and she is really very light on top, almost white. She still has the dark blue saddle in all the right places but her gold seems to have more of a two-tone look ~ gold & platinum blonde. Her coat is also very soft and always has been. I would have to say that there too she seems to have a blend of a silky/cottony coat. She is registered AKC blue & gold, but I would imagine she is showing some of the qualities of a parti carrier based on her coloring and texture. Maybe yours will have a similar coat? |

| They are such a surprise as they get older. Of course if you know the mother and father you will have a better idea what they may look like.
