| Seizures I am new to this group, so bear with me. My little Yorkie is 3 years old. She is a rescue dog and that is the age the vets gave her. She has had 3 seizures in the past year that she has been my dog. One I know was from over-excitement, but I don't know about what caused the other 2 seizures. Are Yorkies a group of dogs that is is not unusual for them to have seizures? Last edited by VickieBurrell; 01-31-2013 at 12:01 PM. |

| Hi Vicki and welcome to the forum. You will probably get better answers to your question if you post it in the Sick and Injured section. I believe all breeds can have seizures depending on the root cause. What has your vet said about the situation? If a vet has not evaluated your girl (what's her name by the way?), then that is very important to get done. Seizures can be controled most times when the cause if diagnosed. Also, I wanted to thank you for rescuing this girl!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have a lot of experience with dealing with dogs and seizures, but I need more information. Of course, no amount of information can be as helpful as a visit to a certified veterinarian (and I am definitely no vet)! My dog Clyde has seizures. If you want to talk specifically about stuff feel free to PM me! |
