| How many cloth pee pads do I need? I have an 8 month old female named Bindi. She has done wonderful with the cloth pee pads. Just recently got Jax who is 3 months old. He is still in training. How many pee pads does a person need for two Yorkies? I probably have 15 and seems like I am doing laundry all the time! |

| 15??? Wow!! I keep 3 out at a time. I pick up "poo" a couple times a day and wash every 3 days. We have 2 sets (of 3) for 4 yorkies!! I would think 15 would be more than enough! Lol

| we have two yorkies and two washable pee pads... we rotate them every two days. No problems and no smell. Just need to keep up with them. Lazy parents equals stinky home.. If you need to keep more than one pad out at a time, your just lazy. two yorkies, one pad, no problems Not referring to those who have more than two...thats another ball game. | I have 12 washable pee pads that I rotate. My two pups are almost two years old. I usually do a load of wash every other day. I only use the washable pads when I am at work. They usually go thru two every day - the dog walker changes the pad mid-day. I do change them very frequently. If I get home and there are no pee marks, I will reuse, but if there is any pee it goes in the laundry. I also use the disposable pee pads, but I cannot leave them out when I am at work. My little angles shred them when they get bored. I use the 30x36 size pee pads - both washable and disposable. I got 24 of the washable pads from new puppypads for 149.99 (12 were 84.99 - shipping and handling included) - I am using half and have the other half for when these wear out. So far they have been great. I try to rotate the pads equally so they get even wear. Last edited by AbbyMax; 01-12-2013 at 06:59 AM. |

I am gone to work 10 hours a day on average and Mandie will NOT pee and poo on the same pad. She will also not walk to one side of the house if she's got to pee when she's on another side of the house. I have 1 Yorkie and 2 locations where I put her pee pads. I only recently received my 1st washable pee pads (got them from T.Bumpkins/107barney). I ordered 2 for now and will build on that. My short answer before I read the replies was this: You need more than TWO!

YT Addict | I leave 2 out at a time (one in their x-pen and one in the back hallway. I change them every morning and every night. I have 5 but I think I'd like to get a couple more so I'm not washing them every day. I'm looking forward to the spring so they can start using their outdoor area.

| I'd be washing pads like diapers, as soon as soiled right in the wash, maybe 30 is a good number. My dogs go outdoors however I had one that was litter trained with recycled cork litter however if I was to litter train now I'd go with Blue Buffalo's walnut shell litter-unless you are using real sod the 'potty patches no loner appeal to me at all personally. Nevertheless for someone who currently has 5 posts-Dickie, 4 of them have involved name calling and blatantly insulting members here...perhaps you should rethink a few things...like reading the rules of the forum...

| FYI if you don't want to wash pads daily, say you just get one soiled pad a day and usually do laundry once a week... remove any excess soil-drop poop in toilet then rinse the pad, wring out excess urine then rinse pad... Place the rinsed soiled pad in a 50/50 solution of water and 3% hydrogen peroxide, like in a bucket or old Costco mayonnaise jar (lol) with lid. This removes staining, stops bacterial or mold growth and is basically a prewash in itself. Hydrogen peroxide is safe for all colors and fabrics just be careful with hemp or natural dyes excessive exposure will degrade these.
