| Fleas? Again? In these cold temps!? Ok so ya'll remember my posts last month about daisy itching SOO bad...well the past 3 days she's been itching like crazy again. Gave her a bath in her special soap...nada. So I have her on my lap yesterday and am going through her hair carefully and pull like 3 off of her!!!!!!!!! Didn't think they'd still be around in these temps! I checked her vet papers, and its been just over a month since her frontline, so I'll get more for her tomorrow..... OIY! NOT what I need when Im taking her away next week....I hope the frontline is enough!!!!! (asde from the spray I have for all the linens....)

| You have to really keep up with the Frontline. Like every 4 weeks. I also use Sergants flea shampoo which is cheap but seems to HELP somewhat. i have tried everything from Cheap to very expensive to prescription and the Frontline and Sergeant's seems to work best. Buy the way.......You also have to continually treat the house or you might NEVER get rid of them. If for some reason it gets bad here I have to spray the carpets and mattresses and EVERYTHING.. then Vaccum like crazy...everyday.

| OH and if you have a farm supply or Petsmart with horse stuff near you,.. you can buy a Horse spray CHEAPER. It says for FLYS on the bottle but if you read the fine print it says fleas . I use this for spraying carpets and all that stuff NOT THE DOG.

| Yea, the fleas are kind of tricky. It's the eggs taht get you. They can live in your carpet. You can try giving her a bath, use Dawn dish soap first, then your shampoo, (a friend of mine said it really works for her). Then put some flea power down on the rugs, leave it for a few hours before you vaccum. Make sure you use the Frontline every four weeks. Princess has not had a flea yet, I keep on top of it the best I can, she's almost three. But we did have a big problem a few years ago with our Rottie. It took weeks to get her Flea free, but it worked. Good luck to you! Being Daisy's angel, I'm sure you will make something work.

| Yea they can be in your carpet. Chachi is allergic to fleas and he had one on him we put the advantage on and he was fine untill it started wearing off. We noticed then he had a nother flea on him. This was this month. My vet says to keep them on the Advantage every month regardless if it is cold outside.

| Its a big misconception that fleas die off in the winter And if they are living in your house/carpet, they dont know how cold it is outside
